ALL roads lead to Llandybie on March 22, where a charity gala concert will take place in the village Memorial hall.
On the bill will be the exciting young baritone Gary Griffiths, winner of the 2012 Welsh Singers Competition, plus local choirs - Tybie Ladies choir and Cor Dyffryn Aman.
Gary, who has represented Wales in the 2013 BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Competition has already built up a formidable reputation for himself.
“I’m really looking forward to performing in Llandybie alongside two excellent local choirs, said Gary, who is currently singing in New Zealand in the opera ‘The Marriage of Figaro’.
The Tybie Ladies choir, under the baton of Desna Pemberton, has over the years, delighted audiences with their wide ranging repertoire, whilst raising thousands of pounds for various charities.
It was by the choir’s request that the concert is in aid of the Fight for Sight charity, which pioneers eye research.
The ladies choir will be joined by the very popular Cor Dyffryn Aman with their musical director Ian Llewelyn.
Concert organizer Cerith Owens, director of Loud Applause Productions promises the gala will be an exciting evening of music making.
“This will be a gala concert which will have something for everyone, tickets are already in high demand,” he said.
The concert takes place on Saturday, March 22 at 7pm.
