TWO Amman Valley fundraisers are celebrating following the success of their charity band night.
Harriet Webb from Tycroes and Lisa Chan from Glanaman organised the event, held at Tycroes rugby club, to raise money for the pair’s upcoming Mount Kilimanjaro climb in aid of the Golau Cancer Foundation.
“The evening was a great success,” said Harriet.
“We would like to thank the bands who performed on the night – Son of One Eye and P’tchaeow – for their amazing sets. “Everyone who came commented on how good they were.”
The pair would like to thank Manford House Chinese Takeaway, Glanaman; Harmony, Ammanford; Treats, Ammanford and Tycroes rugby club for being official ticket outlets, 110 tickets were snapped up with many more sold on the night.
A total of £682.03 was raised of which £123 came from raffle ticket sales, with prizes donated by Manford House; Felin Fach Griffin, Brecon; Harmony; and New Age Photography, Ystradgynlais.
“Myself and Lisa would like to give a massive thank you to everyone who came and made the whole evening a success,” said Harriet.
“We are also very grateful to Tycroes rugby club for hosting the event.”
