FROM this weekend Brynaman public hall and cinema will be showing Les Misérables for two weeks.

Based on the world’s longest-running stage musical, Les Misérables follows the fortunes of ex-prisoner Jean Valjean (Hugh Jackman) in 19th century Paris as he is hunted down by policeman Javert (Russell Crowe) after breaking his parole.

When he meets a factory worker and her young daughter, their destinies become entwined forever.

This epic tale of the strength of human spirit features smash hit songs including I Dreamed a Dream and ranks Anne Hathaway (One Day) and Helena Bonham-Carter amongst its stellar ensemble.

The film will be shown nightly at 7.15pm (not Sunday) with matinees this weekend at 3pm.
