AMMANFORD comedian Phil Evans travels to Norway to appear at the Oslo Comedy Club this week.
He has been invited to perform in Oslo after receiving an invitation from friends in Norway. “It’s something of a step into the unknown,” he said, “but I’m looking forward to it.
“I’ve performed internationally before, but never in Norway.”
Evans is the ‘Hugmeister of Wales’ and the man who has put the ‘Cwtsh’ back into comedy.
He is a favourite warm-up comedian for TV shows on BBC, S4C and ITV and he has just finished a very successful variety showtour of South Wales with singer Paul Child.
Press him for information about how his comedy career started and he will tell you how he left school with 10 GCSEs . . .
before the headmaster told him to put them back!
