The Mini Cooper that Madonna drove while living in London is up for sale.

The 59-year-old singer used the car when she was married to film director Guy Ritchie, and sang about it in her 2003 track American Life.

She later sold it to her personal driver, who kept the black Mini Hatch 1.6 Cooper S in storage.

Madonna, who turns 60 on Thursday, sang “I drive my Mini Cooper, and I’m feeling super-duper” in American Life.

The car has a £55,000 guide price and is said to be “in pristine condition”.

Madonna and Ritchie’s names both appear on previous insurance documents and the car’s V5 registration log book.

Madonna owned the Mini Cooper, complete with a range of bespoke features, including privacy glass, for four years from 2002.

Her driver sold the car in 2016 to a collector, who is listing the vehicle on Auto Trader.

Rachael Hogg, Auto Trader’s digital editor, said: “For many it’s not just a car, it’s a significant piece of Madonna memorabilia.

“The three-door Mini Cooper S Hatch is a modest choice for a celebrity of Madonna’s wealth, but a sensible one for a star living in central London.”
