One of Wales’ popular choirs will support the nation’s heart charity at a concert in Ammanford later this month.
Cardiff’s CF1 Choir will hold a concert to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation (BHF) at the Christian Temple, High St, Ammanford on Saturday, January 30 at 7pm. Funds raised will help beat heart disease – Wales’ biggest killer.
Local BHF fundraising and volunteer manager Jayne Lewis said: “We would like to thank the Ammanford BHF branch for organising the event to help beat heart disease. Heart and circulatory disease remains the number one killer of people in the UK. “Nine people will die prematurely every day in Wales from heart and circulatory disease. That is why the work of the BHF is vital and we rely on generous donations of time and money to continue our life-saving work.”
Tickets cost £8 and are available from Siop y Cennen, Ammanford or by phoning 01269 591497 or 075280 52854. Information for the event is also available from Jayne Lewis on 01554 891500/07860 727547 or email lewisja@bhf.org.uk For more information about the BHF, visit bhf.org.uk
