An annual music festival is returning to Llandovery this weekend.

Festival of The Celts will be taking over the town on Friday, July 27 and Saturday, July 28 with a main stage in the town centre and a marquee stage at the Castle Hotel.

Friday will see performances from Morris Dancers, The Meadows Llandovery Choir and many more.

An inaugural Welsh gathering will take place on Saturday afternoon for Irish multi-instrumental group The Celtic Cru’ig, made up of top Celtic session musicians and Molly McCormacks band.

The Moongazers, Henry Martins Ghost and Parcel of Rogues, Hairpin Bend and Here Be Dragons will all take to the stage on Saturday, July 28.

A spokesperson for the event said: “The market square will host crafts and market traders with plenty of eateries, so grab a train ride to Llandovery Station for a great day out.

Get along with your favourite headgear as it’s mad hatters day.”

“Weekend campers have great choices in Llandovery to stop over as the rugby club campsite boasts scores of hook ups for caravan and tents with hot showers.”
