Comedians Frankie Boyle and Francesca Martinez are set to host a stand-up night in September, to help raise funds for 5-year-old Lincoln Hope from South Wales, who suffers with Cerebral Palsy and needs a £100,000 life changing operation in America to help him walk.

Comedians Frankie Boyle and Francesca Martinez are hosting a stand-up comedy night on the 9th of September at St David’s Hall in Cardiff, to raise money for Lincoln’s Legs, a fundraising effort that aims to get 5 year old Lincoln to America to have a life changing operation.

Lincoln was born 10 weeks premature and suffers with Cerebral Palsy, which affects his ability to walk. Without treatment for the painful condition, Lincoln will endure problems with his muscles and joints which can cause deformities, and could lead to the four-year-old being consigned to a wheelchair for the rest of his life.

The £100,000 operation in America, along with post-operative physiotherapy treatment, would enable the four-year-old to walk, run and live a pain-free life.

However because the NHS doesn’t currently offer the operation, Lincoln’s family will have to raise the cost of it themselves.

With just 4 per cent of the child’s goal reached, comedians Boyle and Martinez hope to increase this with proceeds from ticket sales going towards the Lincoln’s Legs fund. Francesca Martinez also suffers with the lifelong condition.

Tickets for the show will cost £26.50 and can be bought at stdavidshallcardiff.co.uk
