Carmarthenshire actor Aled Lloyd Rees, who plays Miss Understanding, said: “When I heard that Port Talbot Operatic Society were doing the Welsh premier of Priscilla I jumped on the opportunity to take part in this wonderfully uplifting show.

“I was lucky to be chosen as one of the lead cast and male dancer, but when I say male I really mean drag queen dancer as there are very rare moments when I’m male.

“Miss Understanding invokes and oozes the spirit of Tina Turner.”
