A PRODUCER from South Wales is bringing his theatre show to Swansea next month.

Andrew Meredith is the producer of Back to Bacharach, which celebrates the magical musical of Burt Bacharach, one of the most accomplished popular composers of the 20th Century, who together with Hal David penned some of the most memorable and iconic hits that stand the test of time.

The show has been touring the UK over the past year and the cast features four of the finest West End vocalists performing all of Burt Bacharach’s greatest hits supported by the Magic Moments Orchestra as they were originally recorded.

Songs featured in the show are ones that everyone will remember and fall in love again including ‘Alfie’, ‘Walk on by’ and ‘Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head’.

Andrew, who has always been a fan of Burt Bacharach and Hal David’s music, said “I knew the cast needed to be the best in the industry because the songs are so amazingly orchestrated and the vocalists had to be of the highest quality.

“I was determined that the show was to be 100 per cent authentic to the original recordings, This had taken almost two years in auditions to find the perfect combination to bring their songs to audiences throughout the UK that everyone will love and remember.”

Back to Bacharach organisers are also donating £1 from each theatre ticket sold to Breast Cancer Now, the UK’s leading breast cancer charity which supports world class breast cancer research across the UK and Ireland and believes that if we all act now, by 2050, breast cancer will have taken its last life. The team are committing to raise a minimum of £10,000.

Back to Bacharach takes to the stage at Swansea’s Grand Theatre on Tuesday, February 28 at 7.30pm.
