FOLLOWING on from their sell-out performance at the BBC Proms, John Wilson and the John Wilson Orchestra are heading to Cardiff next month as part of their nationwide tour.
The orchestra are bringing their latest show ‘Music from the Moves’ to St David’s Hall in Cardiff on November 23 which celebrates Oscar winning songs from award-winning movie scores form the Golden era of Hollywood.
The concert hall shows continue on from the release of their latest album Gershwin in Hollywood, a spectacular live recording from London’s Royal Albert Hall.
Wilson leads his handpicked ensemble of virtuoso players from orchestras across Europe in this Royal Albert Hall recording of the Gershins’ legendary hits with guest star singers,
Their latest single ‘I was Doing Alright’ is also out on November 11 and features Louise Dearmen, who has appeared in Wicked and Evita.
The latest tour set list features songs from iconic sound tracks from the movies including Funny Girl, My Fair Lady, The Wizard of Oz, and Star Wars as well as an appearance from guest soloists Kim Criswell and Matt Ford.
