LLANDOVERY College pupils and staff are busy preparing this term to put on a show you won’t want to miss.

The whole school are busy rehearsing for their musical production of Bugsy Malone which promises to be an exciting and fun-filled event and one in which audience could find themselves part of the show.

Bugsy Malone will see the College’s Performing Arts Centre transformed into “Fat Sam's Grand Slam”.

The audience is invited to wear 1920’s fancy dress and enjoy the performance from their seating at tables; a bar and waiter service will be available.

A warning though to beware; the show is infamous for its splurge gun fights.

There is a talented cast led by Zed as Bugsy Malone, Olivia, Iwan, Charlotte and Gabrielle in the parts of Tallulah, Fat Sam, Blousey and Dandy Dan.

All of Year 8 pupils will be the boxers and all Year 7’s the “down and outs” in total there will be a cast of 85 performers.

Produced and directed by members of staff, there is also a dedicated team of pupils and staff building the sets and a large stage crew.

Everyone is welcome to come along and experience what promises to be a memorable performance as well as a showcase of the high standards of the preforming arts at Llandovery College.

Recent past productions, including Macbeth, have been resounding successes and sell-outs.
