MESS Up The Mess Theatre Company is back with another original take on a traditional Christmas Show.

It’s Christmas time in Ammanford, but all is not well. Father Christmas has disappeared, Rudolph thinks he’s a dog and the overworked elves are threatening to go on strike.

Local businessman Christopher St Nicholas is taking full advantage by selling toys and gifts at his aptly named shop ‘Snow-ver Priced’. The locals are beginning to wonder if Christmas really is such a magical time of year after all.

Will Father Christmas be found? Will Rudolph ever remember his past as a reindeer? Can the Elves save the day? Or will this be the end of Christmas forever?

Join Mess Up The Mess for an evening of Christmas cheer and merriment with just a little dash of ‘bah humbug’.

The company are taking Christmas out of the theatre and instead using various spaces around central Ammanford to tell their story.

'Ho Ho No! The Trials of Christmas’ has been created by writer Llinos Mai and young people from the company and is a contemporary re-writing of A Christmas Carol!

The project is funded by Coalfields Regeneration Trust and is being supported by local businesses and organisations such as Fresh Bites, Ammanford Bus Hire, Margaret Street Surgery, College Street Books and Carmarthenshire County Council who are providing performance spaces.

Young local performer Dylan Gibson aged 16 who plays Father Christmas says, "Come and see our show because we have worked extremely hard and made a show full of wonder and surprises."

The show is taking place on December 11 to 13. All the venues are accessible. To book tickets go to ticketsource.co.uk/messupthemess or ring 0333 666 3366.

To see for yourself meet at Ammanford Arcade at 7.20pm for a promenade performance. Some seats will be provided in all areas. Mess Up The Mess are advising that you wear appropriate clothing for the weather on the day.
