TELEVISION favourite Louie Spence will star as Spirit of the Beans in this year’s Swansea Grand Theatre magical family pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk.

An accomplished dancer and actor, Louie became a household name when he appeared on Sky1's smash-hit series Pineapple Dance Studios. One of the most flamboyant characters ever to grace a documentary series, he won an army of fans, spring-boarding his own series Louie Spence's Show business, which captivated audiences nationwide.

Louie also appeared on TV as one of the Judges on ITV's Dancing on Ice, organised a wedding on Celebrity Wedding Planner for Channel 5, worked as the Entertainment Correspondent for ITV's Daybreak and last year entered the Big Brother House in Celebrity Big Brother. Louie’s international stardom has seen him voted one of the Top Ten Reality Show Judges in America.

Louie’s work as a professional dancer has seen him tour the world with Take That, E17, 2 Unlimited, Boyzone, Eternal, Björk, Kavanagh, Kim Mazelle and Jocelyn Brown, and he was one of only five professional male dancers to accompany the Spice Girls on their debut Spiceworld tour.

In the West End Louie was part of the original award-winning cast of Miss Saigon, where he helped to create the show’s thrilling acrobatics and went on to perform as Mr Mistoffelees in Cats before joining the Pet Shop Boys musical Closer to Heaven.

Earlier this year Louie took part in the second series of Channel 4’s reality programme The Jump.

Jack and the Beanstalk is produced by Qdos Entertainment, the world’s largest pantomime producer and the company behind the Grand Theatre’s last four pantomimes.

Featuring more comedy than you can shake a bag of magic beans at together with outrageous costumes, fabulous sets, and a huge beanstalk…with one very mean giant at the top of it, with ticket prices to suit all pockets you won’t have to sell the family cow to enjoy spectacular pantomime at the Grand Theatre.

Paul Hopkins, theatre manager says: “We are excited to welcome Louie to Swansea for what promises to be once again, another show stopping pantomime here at Swansea Grand Theatre”

“With a string of successful Christmas shows, Swansea Grand Theatre and Qdos Entertainment have proved that pantomime is not just for children - it's a celebratory festive show that's enjoyed by all ages.
